Eugène LeBlanc, 82, of Memramcook East died Monday at Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton.

Born in Memramcook East, he was a son of the late Honoré S. and Zélica (Gaudet) LeBlanc. A retired shipper, he attended Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic church, Memramcook East. He served with the U.S. Army as a sergeant during the Second World War.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs Marie Geoffrey, Géraldine Young and Dorilla Léger, all of Dieppe; five brothers, Arthur of Memramcook East, Marcel, Roméo and Honoré of Memramcook, and Camille of Rinege, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Léonard, Zoël and Fred.

The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. The funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Roman Catholic church, Memramcook East. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
